Chairman and CEO of Ifremer
A graduate of École Polytechnique and PhD in forest biometrics, François Houllier has been Chairman and CEO of Ifremer since September 2018. He previously served as President of INRA (2012–2016) and of the Sorbonne Paris Cité University Alliance, where he led the Université Paris2019 excellence initiative, selected in March 2018. He began his career at the National Forest Inventory (IFN), then became professor at ENGREF and Director of the French Institute of Pondicherry (1994–1997). He also led the joint research unit "Botany and Bioinformatics of Plant Architecture" (Cirad, CNRS, Inra, IRD, University of Montpellier-II).
