Founder of Mission Blue and DOER Marine
Sylvia Earle is a pioneering marine explorer and ocean conservation advocate. Former Chief Scientist at NOAA and Explorer-in-Residence for National Geographic, she founded Mission Blue and DOER Marine to promote ocean protection. She has received over 150 awards for leadership in science, technology, and conservation, and holds 34 honorary degrees. Sylvia is also the Council Chair at the Harte Research Institute and an IUCN Patron of Nature.
